Subway bombing occurred in New York

An unexpected tragedy happened early in this week in the New York city subway, resulted 4 people wounded including a police officer and the self-bomber itself named Akayed Ullah. The incident took place on Monday around the busiest underground passage between the subway station underneath the Port Authority Bus Terminal and the Times Square subway station.

It is believed that the bomber was still in an "Amateur Level" since the type of explosion device was not really powerful that caused only minor injuries. However, this case raised a concern regarding the security and safety of people in the New York city. Hours after interrogation led by officials stated that the bomber did make some statement regarding the reason behind the bombing but the statement are not to be published at least in any short period of time.

Ullah used a low-tech bomb which came from explosive powder, a nine-volt battery, a Christmas light and matches, the officials said. Investigators said the suspect was recorded on surveillance footage igniting the bomb. Fortunately, the bomb wasn't powerful enough to turn the pipe into shrapnel.

Later on after the investigation, some speculations emerged that the reason behind the bombing was to avenge U.S. aggression towards Islamic State groups. The result of the investigation shows that the bomber is a citizen of the U.S. and had no criminal track records during several years of stay in the U.S. Due to this case, accused bomber is expected to face federal charges regarding terrorist acts conducted through the bombing.
