OWNER-DOG KISSING COMPETITION AT PETS AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2017

Maxxbox Lippo Village held the Pets Autumn Festival event on 20-22 October 2017 at Indoor Parking, Maxxbox Lippo Village, Karawaci. This activity becomes a means of education and socialization of pets for animal lovers. 
Besides gain knowledge about animal raising, the event is also filled with various competitions. Starting from the fashion show with the theme of autumn festival, dog and owner kissing competition, dog eating competition, autumn dog race, obedience challenge, and pet dress up in a place pageantry.

 Pets also get free rabies vaccines and vet consultations and buy a variety of animal needs ranging from funny accessories to food.

Interestingly, this festival not only promotes dogs but also many other unique animals such as civets, rabbits, birds, snakes, and others.

Ziqi Malyki, Public Relation of PEPMI (Perkumpulan Pemerhati Musang Indonesia) said very happy with this event. Through the event of Pets Autumn Festival 2017, it can provide education and socialization about civet to the community. The civet shown comes from the western part of Indonesia, namely the island of Sumatra. Visitors cannot buy the civet considering its existence which began to be rare. In addition, Ziqi also hopes that with this socialization can introduce more animals from Indonesia to the society.
Cassie, one of the hosts at the Pets Autumn Festival 2017, said the show was exciting and fun because here the animals are so cute and tame. Some dogs also wear unique costumes. Not only that, visitors also get education about the pets, take pictures, and enjoy the whole event held at the weekend.

One of the booths inscribed "Maria Strayhome" also attracted attention in this festival. As the name suggests, Maria Strayhome is run by a woman named Maria who has a concern for abandoned dogs. Maria Strayhome is a community that aims to help rescue abandoned dogs, provide medication, food and shelter, restore past traumas, and find adopters.
Not only that, the visitors can also relax while enjoying the delicacy of food and drinks that are sold specifically during the event. The event is more festive with the presence of Indonesian celebrity, Melanie Subono.
