Two “terrorists” attacked the police station in the al-Midan neighborhood of Damascus on Monday, killing at least 10 people, according to the pro-Damascus television channel al-Mayadeen reported. AP news put the toll at 17.
According to Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar on state television from the station, one man blew himself up at the main entrance and another detonated his explosive device on the first floor, where the other bomber made it inside the compound and made the police killed him, causing his bomb to explode.
It was unclear who was responsible for the attack, though a Hezbollah official, who wish to spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief reporters, confirmed the strike but not the toll. Despite that, there is no strong evidence to back up this statement.
